Frequently Asked Questions

Answer

Improper use of high speed buffers or the wrong cleaning agents can actually damage the gelcoat. If the gelcoat becomes too thin it will cause a safety hazard. Because we do this work on a daily basis, our specialists can not only clean and wax your slides correctly and without causing unnecessary damage, we can also point out areas that have the potential for future safety issues and advise your staff to monitor these.

Answer

We recommend having water slides professionally cleaned, de-scaled, polished, and waxed annually. In addition to the maintenance SlidePros will, at no additional cost, inspect the slides for any safety issues (chips, delamination, etc.) and also provide a recommendation for in-house maintenance during the operating season.

Answer

John Block, owner of SlidePros, has over 15 years of experience in manufacturing, refurbishing, installing, resurfacing, repairing, and maintaining water slides, Interactive Play Structures and features, towers, and soft play features. Our current skilled technicians have been working with SlidePros for a minimum of five years. All our work is performed by our aquatic restoration specialists; we do not subcontract work to local contractors or hire temporary laborers.

Answer

Yes! The same cleaners, waxes, and coatings that our technicians use can be purchased through our website or by calling our office. We highly recommend if it is your first purchase that you speak to an aquatic specialist to be sure you are purchasing the correct products. We do recommend, however, having the water slides professionally cleaned and inspected at the beginning of the season by one of our professionals.

Answer

The harsh chlorine environment that water slides, towers, and interactive play structures and features are exposed to make them more difficult to maintain and refurbish. Because this is all we do, we have the many years of experience and the expertise to ensure that the work will be done correctly and with the correct products. All recoating and repainting projects are backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty and a 3- or 5- year product warranty.

Answer

You only need to call our office and our staff will let you know the information we need to provide you with a firm quotation. We rarely need to visit a site to provide a proposal.
